Lesson #9: There Is A Budget…
ALL events should have a budget! When we don’t set budgets we make decision based on emotions and we’ve already learned that sometimes we need a little help training those bad girls! What I realized was that the less money I had to spend the more creative and relatable I became. In areas I spent too much money, I didn’t give the actual impact of the activity that much thought! I took on the attitude that somehow the dollar amount magically equated to “better”. What actually happened was that the areas in which I spent the most, became the most stressful. I gave more importance to them because I overspent, I drove people crazy, I drove myself crazy, I forgot details because I was only focused on the money. Focus on how you want people to feel and the money will be a tool instead of a tyrant.
