Lesson #25: Keep A Clear Mind
Too often we take memories from experiences in the past into new experiences in the present. Some may argue experience is the best teacher, that’s actually TOTALLY wrong! Evaluated experience is the best teacher! You will continue to get the same lessons in life until you learn them, because life is the ultimate classroom! In school if you don’t study your lessons and demonstrate a mastery of subject matter by way of testing, you’re held back; life is no different. When you’re held back the teacher doesn’t give you all new lessons; you must repeat the lessons previously provided to you. To prepare for testing, because there is no other way to determine mastery other than by testing it, you must study more, pay attention in more, answer questions differently all in an attempt to pass the same test you failed last year. You cannot go into the new test with all the same habits, attitudes and thoughts you had when you took the old test unless you want to guarantee the same old results. Have you ever noticed when you’re pumping gas that in order for your pump to start the previous purchase must be cleared out. Not until the previous purchase is cleared out to ZERO, can you begin to fill your tank up. Life is the exact same! You have to clear your mind of the previous to be filled up with the new!
